Met with a technical counselor from the local chapter of the EAA yesterday. Brett built his RV-7A from a quick-build kit (fuselage). Brett had every aviation and automotive tool imaginable and he walked me through the tools you must have, tools that are nice to have and the tools that are a waste of money.

Workbench Tools
No particular work on the kit since the last post. I’ve continued to add tools to my workshop. I’ve added a metal work bench, drill press, belt/disc sander, and a smart vise. The only major tool that I need is a band saw. I wil see how far I can get without one of those. I have an electric jigsaw that should do fine for the time being.
I also need a set of metal snips. I don’t know why I’m holding off on those. I’ll definitely need the for the rudder stiffeners.
